"The Deal" (short film)

I wrote, produced and directed a short film called "The Deal" which was screened in 13 film festivals around the world.
It was a pet project where I wanted to write a script where all the dialogue not only had a double meaning, but had three different meanings for every line spoken. My friend and actress Michelle Wolff (Dante's Cove, Mango Kiss, Trapped) and I thought it'd be fun to shoot, so I pulled the finances together (that's the producer part!) and got a small crew to shoot it one looooong night in my house. Michelle plays the role of Dev, the producer, and Joan Fuller, a wonderful woman whom I met while casting the film, plays the role of Mary. Michelle needed to change the name of her screen credit because of union rules (let's keep that a secret, huh?!) and we had a blast.
I went to a few of the screenings at different festivals and it was a thrill to sit in the audience of receptive people.
If you follow the link to Plant Out's sight and click on the quicktime link (and be verrrry patient while it loads), you can view it as well.
I wouldn't suggest watching at work, though....
